A little bit about us

Hello and welcome to Begelly Beads. If you’ve already come across us you will know that we pride ourselves on giving a friendly, efficient and reliable service. We sell Crystals, Beads, findings, kits and handmade jewellery all at affordable prices.

In February 2016, after spending almost 4 years in Begelly, we moved our physical shop to the town of Narberth but decided to keep our original Begelly Beads name. We settled on the outskirts to start where we had enough space that we could still run workshops and classes. When the pandemic hit, we couldn’t provide any teaching so decided to take a leap and move down onto Narberth High Street.

In 2024 Carole made the difficult decision to take retirement but instead of closing down, Jess took a big step up and decided to take over the shop and keep it going after working at Begelly Beads for almost 10 years.

‘My favourite part about the shop is 100% meeting all our lovely customers. I love hearing all about what people use our beads & findings for, and I can promise you that no question is ever too silly to ask. Having families come in and choose their beads excites me so much as I can just imagine them getting home, sitting around the table chatting, beading and spending time together.

Jewellery making is such a great hobby, we have customers who suffer from wide ranges of medical conditions and they always express how much it helps them both mentally and physically. Another reason to get involved is that once you have made up an item, you can wear it, gift it or sell it which makes it such an affordable hobby. My aim within the shop and something I am very passionate about is catering for all budgets. We understand that times are hard so when I go bead shopping, I’m always mindful about buying lower range, mid-range and then higher range too. These differ between £1 strands of beads, £3-5 strands and then some £10+ strands.’

If you’d like any more information, please give us a call on 01834 818905 or come visit our bead shop in Narberth, we are always here to help. Why not sign up to our mailing list to keep up to date with what’s going on and new stock as it arrives. You can follow us on Instagram & Facebook too.

We undertake cosmetic jewellery repairs from a simple re-string up to pearl knotting and also make to order (if you are wanting to match up an outfit, please bring the item with you to the shop so we can colour match it best).

Monthly set project workshops are held across the road in the Queen’s Hall, you can get in touch if you would like to know more.

Step through our doors to find a shop full of beads and a warm welcome.
